AMERON LUCERNE HOTEL FLORA
In the heart of Lucerne, where alpine landscapes meet maritime history, we have reimagined the AMERON Hotel Flora. The interior concept serves as a tribute to the nautical traditions of Lake Lucerne, translating them into a modern, urban context. Under the guiding principle of “Boutique over Swissness,” a design was created that elegantly weaves together nature, craftsmanship, and lifestyle.
The design analogy is consistently applied throughout the property: while the lobby functions as an open deck, the 157 rooms and suites offer a functional yet luxurious retreat as cozy cabins. The high-quality craftsmanship of the interior fit-out was executed by Ligno, bringing the vision to life with exceptional precision.
Warm materials such as solid oak meet brass accents and nautical details. A particular highlight is the bespoke wallpaper developed exclusively for this project in collaboration with Wall & Deco. Featuring flora and fauna motifs, it grants the rooms a unique identity and complements the color palette of deep blue, sandy tones, and warm wood nuances.
By optimizing the floor plans—including an increased number of rooms with connecting doors and the modernization of bathrooms—the new design combines maximum comfort with a powerful emotional story, beautifully captured in photos by Jannis Hagels.
