HOP Apartments & Suites introduces a distinctive hospitality model to Interlaken by combining the flexibility of a serviced apartment with the comfort and quality of a hotel. While the region is traditionally dominated by short-stay leisure hotels, HOP offers a contemporary long-stay apartment concept that provides greater independence and spatial comfort for modern travellers. 

Each unit is designed as a compact apartment with kitchenette, living area and generous layouts that can include multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, creating a suite-like experience at an approachable price level. This concept allows guests to enjoy the advantages of hotel hospitality while maintaining the freedom and privacy of their own temporary home – an approach that resonates particularly well with families, small groups and longer-stay leisure travellers. 

The uniqueness of the hotel is also defined by its exceptional location. Situated between the rocky mountain slope rising behind the building and the turquoise waters of the Aare river in front, the property occupies a rare position where dramatic alpine nature meets one of Switzerland’s most important tourism destinations. Interlaken, located between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz and surrounded by the Jungfrau region, attracts visitors from all over the world seeking adventure, nature and spectacular landscapes. 

The project transforms an existing building into a contemporary apartment hotel where architecture, interior design and branding form a cohesive narrative inspired by the surrounding landscape. The concept “From Mountain to Water” translates the unique geography of the site into colours, materials and spatial sequences throughout the building. 

By merging an urban-style serviced apartment concept with the natural drama of the Swiss Alps, HOP Apartments & Suites creates a new hospitality typology for alpine leisure destinations – flexible, design-driven and deeply connected to its location.
