This year, the annual Monoplan weekend took place in July. The team met bright and early in the morning at Zurich Airport and took the plane to Florence. Upon arrival, the journey continued by bus to the SPA Hotel, situated in the Tuscan hills. After spending the day by the pool and relaxing, the team was treated to a cooking course in the evening. The Monoplaners split up into several teams, who competed against each other to win the title for “best pasta”. In the end, the title went to Monoplan team “Greece”, who, with their pasta creation, made a lasting impression on the jury of hotel chefs. After dinner, the evening was spent relaxing by the pool, but not before making a trip to the ice-cream parlour in the nearby village.

The next morning, the team found several Vespas and three Fiat 500 cars waiting for them. What ensued was a team discovery outing through the picturesque Tuscan landscape. In the evening the team caught the bus to Florence. Following a tour of the city and dinner, the evening was spent partying in a club with a view over the Florence night sky. In the early hours of the morning, the team returned to the hotel and sat by the pool to enjoy the sunrise.

After a short night, the final day of the weekend centred on the topic of architecture. The events of the day included a tour of the newly constructed Antinori Winery. The Monoplan team was given an extensive tour of the site, and learnt about both the architecture of the winery and wine cultivation in Tuscany. In the late afternoon, it was time to catch the plane from Florence back to Zurich.

Im Juli fand das alljährliche Monoplan Wochenende statt. Pünktlich am frühen Morgen traf sich das Team am Flughafen Zürich und flog nach Florenz. Nach der Ankunft ging es mit dem Bus weiter zum SPA Hotel in den Hügeln der Toskana. Nachdem der Tag am Pool verbracht und zum Entspannen genutzt wurde, fand am Abend ein Kochkurs statt. Bei diesem teilten sich die Monoplaner in mehrere Teams auf, die um den Titel der besten Pasta wetteiferten. Der Titel ging am Ende an das Monoplanteam Griechenland, welches mit seiner Pasta die Jury der Hotelköche nachhaltig beeindrucken konnte. Nach dem Dinner lies man den Abend, nach einem Ausflug zur Eisdiele im nächstgelegenen Örtchen, am Pool ausklingen.

Am nächsten Vormittag warteten mehrere Vespas und drei Fiat 500 auf das Team. Zusammen ging es auf eine Entdeckungsreise durch die malerische Toskana. Am Abend fuhr das Team mit dem Bus nach Florenz. Nach einem Stadtrundgang und anschliessendem Dinner wurde im Club mit Blick über das nächtliche Florenz gefeiert. In den frühen Morgenstunden fuhr das Team zurück zum Hotel und genoss den Sonnenaufgang am Pool.

Nach einer kurzen Nacht stand der letzte Tag des Wochenendes im Zeichen der Architektur. Die Besichtigung des neu gestalteten Weinguts Antinori stand auf dem Programm. Bei einer ausgedehnten Führung erfuhren die Monoplaner sowohl Details zur Architektur als auch zum Anbau des Weines in der Toskana. Am späten Nachmittag ging es mit dem Flieger von Florenz zurück nach Zürich.
Das Team bedankt sich bei Daniel, Philip und den Organisatoren für das schöne Wochenende und freut sich bereits auf das nächste Jahr.
