Waldhotel Bürgenstock

The Medical Wellness Hotel on Bürgenstock mountain combines exclusive architecture with the highest level of ecological standards. Thanks to its terraced structure and the green rooftops, the Waldhotel blends in with the landscape. The building is made from natural materials. The stones used for the façade, for example, originate from the section of the hill that was removed to make way for the hotel, thereby underlining the ecological concept of the building.

With 160 rooms and suites and around 4,800 m² of space for medical applications and wellness treatments, the Waldhotel focusses on the rest and recovery phase following medical procedures. The building was designed by Matteo Thun & Partners from Milan. As the local partner of Matteo Thun in Switzerland, Monoplan oversaw the implementation planning and coordination with the public authorities.
